Car was totaled and apparently Steckels was called even though she had AAA ins. She was in state of mind to make any decision!
When I called the next day to ask if car was totaled he said yes. I went there to get belongings and he handed me an $805 bill and said he would take $605!!! Told me he had a big clean up on road! How long does it take to pick up a few parts from a car up? 10 mins maybe?
I understand a 1am call is inconvenient but $605 for a 7 mile tow!
He was nice enough to drop storage costs in his big empty lot but I mailed him Bill of Sale so he will get something from scrap yard for it.
Price gouging on a 22 yr old who was nearly killed in a car accident. Cmon!
Well, I feel so damn bad now! My daughter went up there and explained her situation and he felt so bad he omitted charges and wouldn’t take nothing! Apparently he does have a big heart! My bad????
